A SUBJECT I'VE ENJOYED STUDYING THIS SEMESTER

My favourite subject this semester is Social Theory, because in classes we usually have mini "talkatory" where we can give ours opinions about the subject, generating debate around a controversy. 

The main contents we have seen was "Durkheim, Marx, Weber", in class we discuss with and against theirs respective thinking and political theorys. I like the subject because Raglianti (our teacher) have a really good perspective about the reality and the academy thinking. He didn't teach for "intellectual masturbation" he likes makes us reflect on our privileges and about the structural context that we are participants, 

We write three papers about relevnts topics in Chile, relation with things we learnt in classes with an analyze. 

In a typical class we discuss the characteris of the society, and the importance of persons and theirs relations reflect on structures. Because this and much more my favourite subject was SOCIAL THEORY. WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII BYE. 

  

An expert in my field that I admire

An expert that I admire

I think in someone that have this characteristics: women and inter-sectional, it means that she is conscientious of racism, classicism, homophobic, genre and animal especism. I don't know if I really find some women that rencontrer this thoughts in the University, because being in the Academy and also have prestige means a lots of privilegies that you have to introduce in your mood of be in cotidianity. I remember a girl who talk for our course in the last semester in the signature "The work of the anthropologist".

She was Carolina Franch Maggiolo. She burned in 1979, in this country, and she is anthropologist specialized in social works of the University of Chile, she has a master's in studies of genre and culture (realized in the same university) and today she is doing a doctorate in Social Scientist.  

She made a subject of genre with Sonia Montecino (a social anthropology), and Carolina Franch said that Sonia put theirs in tension many things that was normal in their context, and not in line of demagogy or academician. Montecino put theirs in different researches, practices, figures and forms wich captivated her specialty. She thought it was like got out a bandage of hers eyes: the negative difference who caused discrimination have extremely connected with variables as race and class, that opened a lot of other visions and realities and -she opened a field- that was GENRE. 

Carolina likes to observate and meeting others cultures but not to be like a vampire, but yes like a reconstruction of knowing with other and you. 

WILD ANIMALS AND PETS

I am an animal lover, since was child I talk with animals like if they were humans, I remember me taking cats from the street to my room to take care of them and that they could be safe and sleep well in my house jaja my parents did'nt knew it never, it was a secret in my life, because when they arrived I open the door and the cat live my room. Now I have two cat partners, they are sisters, and one partner dog, he used to live in the street until one day bad persons hit Pepe (the dog) and in my family we decided adopted him. I think that any animal can be "the best pet" because they are simply animals and can give you her company, but it is not correct make them a property to enjoy you.
When I was more child, I saved a chicken... he was in the street so scared and stressed, don't ask me why he was there, I don't know. We made really good friends, we used to sleep together, eat together until we went walk together, he like go to the park and ate bichitos like worms.

If I could be an animal I choose to be a bat, because they use more finer senses than the human. Alson they always stay with family group and go out at night to make their lives, that means that they have a very good view. i think that bats are so special and cutes.

The story behind a picture

I really like this picture, it is so relaxing to me because in this moment I was totally disconnected of my reality in the city, in this moment I only was my friends, food, fire and good dreammings. We were in Castro, Chiloè and we only wants to be, nothing more, we did'nt pretended anything also knew new places. We were traveling along the south of Chile: me, gonzalo, cote and rodrigo. We met fantastic persons and animals, we breathed the nicest air in our lifes, it smelled as freedom.
We ate a lot of bread, we drink so much water because we did'nt want dehydrate from so much walking, we swim in great and big rivers and lakes, and we run around the trees.

We had everything having nothing jajaja, one day the rain wet my books but it didn't matters, there wasn't time to read, we even drow one day in a house with temperas of colour, I did a flower and Gonza did a tree with birds... it was beautiful being, just stay here without time and without space, we were the space in our time.

My name is Vivian Raquel Marschhausen Santis, I am 19 years old and I am studying anthropology in Universidad de Chile, also I do yoga in the University. I like so much animals, i am vegetarian and when i have my own house i hope to be veggie because then I am not going to bother anyone for my style or way of life... Today I live with my parents and i love so much them, they are really important to me, actually they are the most important! because they give me all their support, in special my mum, she is a really beautiful person.
In my free times I go out in bicycle around my neightbour or I drawing with special pens, or also I like writting horror stories. I take care of the plants in my house because I have two cats and one dog that like play with them, so I have to be aware.
